Terraplan GmbH Acquires Stake in Additional Tour Operator and Secures a New Investor

As part of a succession plan, terraplan GmbH has acquired an initial 35% stake in tourmare Reisen GmbH & Co. KG, Hannover, one of Germany's leading diving tour operators.

A further increase in the stake is planned. Holger Stollenwerk, Managing Director of terraplan GmbH, commented: 'With tourmare, we are gaining an excellent complement to our subsidiary Meine Welt Reisen. Terraplan will closely support tourmare on its path towards further digitalization. Tourmare Greenline, with its focus on sustainable travel, is also a perfect fit for terraplan and will remain a key area of emphasis for us in the future.'In addition, terraplan GmbH has brought on board Hardy Hezel, co-founder of wayers GmbH and a prominent figure in the tourism industry, who initially acquired a stake of just over 7% in terraplan as part of a capital increase. Dr. Frank Mair, Managing Director of terraplan GmbH is delighted about this professional reinforcement: ‘With Hardy Hezel, Terraplan is gaining a true tourism professional who will provide us with outstanding support in the future.'

Following the capital increase, Maffei & Co.’s stake in terraplan GmbH now stands at just over 32%.
